Introduction
Nothing is more fascinating and satisfying than owning an aquarium. This hobby is popular because it takes up little space and appeals to all ages. Aquariums can be educational and entertaining. Nothing is more relaxing than watching beautifully colored fish swim and dart in the home you have created for them. Think of the fun you can have decorating the tank with plants, rocks and driftwood. You will derive hours of pleasure from your aquarium.
Like any hobby, you have to learn the basics. In my book, I will tell you how to set up an aquarium and how to select fish. I have information on all the different types of filters and lights. There are many choices in the marketplace and I hope I can make it easy for you to make decisions. I have special articles on making your own food and breeding your fish. For a nice diversion from the ordinary, I have information on setting up a biotope aquarium. Maybe, as you gain experience, you may decide to switch to saltwater. I have an introductory article on the difference between salt water and fresh water.
With over 40 years in the aquarium hobby, I am pleased to share my expertise with you. I never tire of it because I’m always learning and experimenting. I hope you will enjoy it too!
